Idol Group ‘Supernova’ Releases New Song at Tokyo Tower
The idol group Supernova released a new song at a commemorative event held at Tokyo Tower on the occasion of the release of their new single album on May 23. Their 14th single “Stupid love/come back to me” was released the same day, getting off to a good start by ranking in 4th place on the Oricon daily chart.
Supernova announced their new song nine months after leader Yunhak joined the army in October last year. They had a good time, singing and talking with fans. They said, “Only 100 people came here today among 3,000 applicants. We are delighted to show our charms at this particular promotional event.”
Kwangsu said, “Our leader Yunhak called me and asked me to play his share of role. He advised many things to me. Although his body is not with us, his mind seems to always be with us.” Sungje said, “We feel nervous as it is the first album released in Yunhak’s absence. Please cheer us on.”
“Stupid Love,” a Japanese version of Supernova’s comeback song, is also May’s ending theme song of Nippon TV’s popular program “Pirolon school.”
“Come Back To Me” has been selected as the commercial song of the mobile phone game “My boyfriend is Supernova” as well as for the ending theme song of TV Tokyo’s drama “Loving maison-rainbow rose.”
Supernova is now on a Japanese tour with the title of “Supernova Live Tour 2012-5.1,” starting a tour of Nogoya on May 17-18, Kobe on May 21 and Tokyo at Tokyo International Forum Hall on May 24-25. [Yonhap]
