A-Pink’s Hong Yoo Kyung didn’t know her father was a wealthy man

A-Pink’s member Hong Yookyung revealed that she did not know her father was a wealthy man until she read the news articles. She said, “I only knew the company name.”
A few weeks ago, it was revealed that Hong Yookyung was a daughter of a wealthy man and this became a hot topic. Because of this, she received the nickname of “Umchinddal (Perfect daughter)” and confessed that she was actually burdened about the nickname.
Hong Yookyung said, “I never told anyone about this, but one day I saw my name on the most searched topics and I was really surprised. After reading the article, I quickly called my agency and even the mangers didn’t know about this situation.”
Hong Yookyung’s father is a representative of DSR Steel manufacturing company. The company has risen to the top according to sales through the end of 2010 and surpassed the mid-sized companies. Hong Yookyung confessed, “My family, members of the company, and even the stocks became a topic in the articles. Really, I only knew the name of my father’s company and did not know about the rest. Even worse was that if my name was searched, my father and my family’s name would pop up and I was so upset by this.”

IU’s diary entry from 6 years ago revealed

Although she’s known as a singer now, IU is reported to have attended acting school two years before her 2008 debut.
A recent post titled “IU’s diary from six years ago when she attended acting school” was published onto an online community board, and netizens are buzzing over IU’s adorable entry.
The entry from six years ago seems to have been written when the star was practicing her role as Emily in the popular play ‘Our Town‘.
Her diary read:
I suddenly thought I should read my lines for the play today. I thought it’d be fun since I’ll only be doing this once or twice. Anyway, I started practicing. I skimmed over the script, but my lines were a bit weird. ‘Take me. Take me to my grave at the top of the hill.’ The character also writes a letter to herself that is really encouraging. ‘Have strength. Everything will be fine. You’re the best. You’re special’, etc. In about ten years from now (I’ll still be only 24 years old), I hope I’m very happy with life so when I re-read this entry, I’ll be able to smile and laugh.
Netizens who came across the post commented, “It’s amazing how a middle school student is able to write such entry,” “IU was a child with deep thoughts six years ago,” “I didn’t know IU also practiced acting,” and “IU from six years ago is so cute.”

Chun Myung Hoon visits his dad for the first time in 10 years

Chun Myung Hoon of 90s idol group NRG made an appearance on the recent episode of SBSStrong Heart‘. He shared an emotional story about his relationship with his father.
Chun Myung Hoon began saying, “I was raised in a very strict household. My father graduated from law school, and fought in the war in Vietnam two times. He worked as a detective who was in charge of violent crimes for 30 years.
He continued,
He didn’t approve of me debuting as a celebrity so I put on [unapproved performances] on college streets since I was in middle school. Honestly, until NRG’s 2nd and 3rd album, I had only graduated from middle school. But because I would be too ashamed to admit to my son later on that I had only completed middle school, I attended an adult high school… When I told my father that I would drop out of school, my father put handcuffs on me. We were both shocked. After I finally told him that I would diligently go to school, he let me go. But the day after, I continued on the path of becoming a back dancer. I ran away from home after lying so I could avoid him. I didn’t contact him at all during all my years of back dancing, Hamo Hamo, and NRG. After that incident, I didn’t see his face for about 10 years. But 6 months ago, my mother called me and told me that my father was in the last stages of lung cancer. At first, I couldn’t believe it. My head was in shock, but it didn’t feel real in my heart. I went to visit him a few days after, and I saw an unfamiliar elderly man with no hair. When he saw me, he started crying. I was so shocked. He wasn’t the fire-like father I knew,
bursting into tears as he relived the moments he spent with his father for the first time in 10 years.
He added, “He was unconscious after his treatment, but thankfully, he is now conscious. What makes me a really undutiful son is that I lived the past ten years resenting my father, but he proudly bragged about me to the nurses even while he was in the ICU.
Chun Myung Hoon also sent a message to his ill father: “Even though it may be late, I want to live happily and think of my father first before I act so I can pay for my wrongdoings as a son.

A Pink’s Son Naeun confessed suffering through emotional distress due to ligament injury

A Pink’s member Son Naeun, also known as the “center” of the group, revealed her emotional distress due to her ligament injury.
A Pink made their comeback with ”HUSH” in the beginning of May, and member Son Naeun got injured again just before their comeback date. She injured the same area that she had already suffered an injury to before A Pink’s debut. However, it has been said that Son Naeun has been feeling the strain of both mentally and physically with their comeback just around the corner. In a recent interview with Newsen, Son Naeun, “It’s an injury that I had before, so I think it will quickly recover. The hospital made a diagnosis that my ligaments were weak (flapping) and that it was dangerous. The pain was painful, but at the time it was two weeks before our comeback, so I felt really sorry to the other members.”
She continued, “In the end, we had to extend our comeback date two more weeks because of me. During the music video shooting and choreography practices, I had to wear a bandage but I was not able to dance properly.”
In this, the other members said, “Naeun has suffered through intense emotional distress. Her body was not well, but she was also having emotional distress. We were worried seeing Naeun crying alone by herself at our dorm.”
Son Naeun stated, “The injury has improved. The members are helping me a lot. There is no unreasonableness when I go up on stage, but I am taking caution in case of another relapse.”
