Jang Keun Suk Rises to No.1 on Oricon Charts with ′Just Crazy
With the crazy amount of pre-orders, Jang Keun Suk’s new album has reached the top of the Oricon charts.
Released on May 30, Jang Keun Suk’s first full-length Japanese album Just Crazy took the number one spot on the Oricon Daily Chart just a day after its release. The album sold approximately 53,000 copies on the first day, raising him to the top of the list.
It was also reported that even before the actual release date, 130,000 copies were pre-ordered and the album placed first on Japan’s Tower Records online sales.
When he heard about the record, Jang Keun Suk tweeted, “Hurray!! Oricon number 1! Our Unagis! (Eels/What Jang Keun Suk calls his fans) Thank you! Show me more unagi power!” He also posted a screen shot of the record on his phone.
This is not the first time Jang Keun Suk has placed first on the Oricon charts, as he placed in both the daily and weekly charts last April with his debut single Let Me Cry,
This new album contains a total of 11 tracks, including self-composed Stay and Korean song, In My Dream.
Jang Keun Suk has just completed filming for KBS’ Love Rain, which aired its final episode on May 29, and is preparing for his ‘2012 Jang Keun Suk Asia Tour The Cri Show 2’ in Seoul, Japan, Shanghai, Taiwan, and Thailand in July.
